CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
PGCPS, 06/2008 to Present,
Substitute Teacher
·
Apply learned curriculum in its entirety for assigned
grade levels. Demonstrated knowledge of the state standards and how both
align with the K12 curriculum. Understand overall diversity of assigned
families and individual characteristics of students/parents; specifically,
how this impacts support needed.
Glotel
Corporation, 09/2005-06/2008, Global Network Analyst
· Defined the metrics
required to continually analyze performance including provisioning
performance evaluation.
· Provided problem analysis
and ongoing user support, coordinating systems development and
implementation, and training users on functionality of applications.
· Provided appropriate and
timely corrective action when user operations are adversely impacted by systems
application malfunction or error.
· Managed global plans and
initiatives to ensure compliance with corporate strategic business
directives.
Winstar
Communications, 04/2003-09/2005, Voice/Data Network Engineer
·
Managed
provisioning group’s transition to a new nationwide fiber-optic network.
Worked with team to roll all existing traffic to the new network, and
disconnect old leased network. Assisted in streamlining provisioning process,
which resulted in significant increases in production.
Worked closely
with the fiber-engineering department to develop very complex inventory
templates for the new DWDM/fiber-optic equipment installed for the new
network. Equipment included: Nortel, Redback and Ciena DWDM, Core Director
switches and new fiber-optic cables. Ordered OC48, OC192 and 2.5 gigabit
circuits for the network. Designed the beta CLR’s for the multiple
hierarchies of optical circuits riding on them
Cable &
Wireless Corporations, 02/1998-04/2003, Network Engineer
· Designed, routed and
switched network infrastructures and services involving LAN, WAN, and
broadband access.
· Installed, and configured
medium-size routers and switches on networks, including implementation and
verification of connections to remote WAN sites.
· Coordinated with Site Techs
to perform verification, and validation of the build-out of network
components (switch model, switch cards, IOS version, uplink connectivity, and
cabling identification and verification) from a high-level.
· Designed and installation
of voice and data backbone circuits on a challenging schedule.
· Managed broadband circuit
provisioning and routing group on Internet Peering project. Designed,
implemented and maintained SONET DWDM networks as well as provisioned optical
circuit in support of IP Infrastructure and ATM backbone.
· Provided tracking for Voice
and Data circuits and maintained inventory of terminating equipments such as
Fujitsu, Cisco, and Lucent.
· The
following tasks I have performed in addition to the primary responsibility of
the Network Provisioner:
1. Utilized current knowledge of ASR web-based
tools, manual order processes and the applications used by vendors for
ordering services.
2. Coordinated solutions with vendors and
field personnel for service delivery issues.
3. Provided problem management, including
customer calls and problem escalation to appropriate levels, tracking and
follow-up.
4. Provisioning of Ethernet DS0, DS1, DS3 and
OC-n level circuits.
-Works under direct supervision
and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
QWEST
Communications, 09/1995-02/1998, Network Circuit Designer
· Supported global network
team on design and implementation LAN, WAN, Sonet, ISDN, DSL, Frame Relay,
and Global Networks.
· Provided documentation of
telecommunications data, IP PBX, and VoIP Hardware installation such as
Gateways, Routing Equipment (Routers/Hubs/Switches/Bridges).
· Developed Excel
spreadsheets to track Network capacity, and determine future growth, network
reconfiguration and/or decommissioning.
· Order processing and
provisioning for customer circuit migrations. Provisioned data, frame, ATM
and IP customers including all hierarchies from optical circuits to 56 KB
DS0’s.
· Managed provisioning
group’s transition to a new nationwide fiber-optic network. Worked with team
to roll all existing traffic to the new network, and disconnect old leased
network. Assisted in streamlining provisioning process, which resulted in
significant increases in production.
· Expert-level Knowledge of
Leased Carrier processes, such as: Service Orders, Facility Orders, FOC, CFA,
DLR, and ASRs.
· Knowledge of IXC/CLEC
inter-company operations and procedures; as it pertains to effective
Transport Provisioning and Coordination.
· Possesses Strong Process
Development and Execution Orientation, Continuous Improvement,
Detail-oriented mindset.
· Experience in large
multi-carrier, hybrid (leased/private transport) organizations, with
Carrier/CATV and large multi-state/global networks preferred.
· Coordinate, Collect, Track,
and Disseminate all provisioning activities and associated work products with
companies involved in transport provisioning (Letter of Agency, Prerequisite
Order Inputs, Service Level Agreements and Objectives, CFAs, DLRs, ASRs).
GEOTEK Communications,
